About Minami Alps City

  Minami Alps is a city in Yamanashi prefecture, approximately 2 hours from Tokyo.
  Yamanashi is located in the central part of Honshu, the main island of Japan.
  Minami Alps has a population of about 70,000 people living among the plains and peaks – some of which exceed 3000 metres.
  Japan’s second highest mountain Kitadake (3,193m) and third highest Ainodake (3,190m) are both located in the Minami Alps area.
  From early summer to late autumn; cherries, peaches, plums and grapes are among the many delicious fruits grown and harvested in this area.
